ONE of Harrogate’s premier retail business locations, the site vacated by the legendary Allens, has reopened as Bradley’s cheap links of london Store.
Janet and Peter Bradley bought the freehold about a year ago to add to their growing number of luxury jewellery stores, with one already on Princes Street in Harrogate – which is remaining open – together with York and Northallerton.
”When my husband and I saw the freehold was up for sale links of london sweetie. we felt that we couldn’t pass up the chance of acquiring probably the best retail site in Yorkshire,” said Janet.
The Bradleys are originally from Middlesbrough and have been working together for 34 years, establishing excellent links within the jewellery and luxury goods market.
Although they have spent the last year extensively developing the site links of london friendship, they have kept some of the original features on the three floors from the previous occupants.
In fact, Mrs GM Allen, a member of the original family responsible for opening the store at 6 Prospect Crescent in 1891, has given the Bradleys her personal blessing as a family business aligned with the Allens reputation for excellence and quality.
”We have managed to keep the original stairs. People might recognise them from before and we have even employed one of the previous members of staff from Allens who started work here exactly a year to the day from when he lost his job on the day of their closure links of london charms uk,” said Janet.
In fact, 12 new Harrogate jobs have been created by the opening of the new store and the general manager, Andrew Duffy comes with 24 years of experience in the luxury watch and jewellery business.
